About The Author :

Stewart Hastie, a proud Scotsman, was a graduate of the University of Glasgow and worked as a veterinary surgeon for 74 years. He was intimately associated with many aspects of the equine world, most notably hunting, eventing and racing. He contributed invaluably to the equine industry, being Veterinary Advisor to the Society of Master Saddlers and receiving the British Equestrian Trade Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013 in recognition of his work. He sadly passed in February of 2018.
