Description

Hackamore
A Hackamore works by pressure on the nose through a leverage. The pressure on the nose depends on the length of the sides. A hackamore is basically a tool for riding bitless, but can also be used in combination with a snaffle. A hackamore can be quite sharp because of the leverage and the pressure on the nose and chin. If a curb chain is used, the Hackamore is even sharper.

It is very important that the noseband of the hackamore is placed correctly. The hackamore is not suitable for inexperienced riders or horses.

Properties of an elliptical mouthpiece
The Elliptical mouthpiece has a finely rounded centerpiece, which is less sharp than the Dr. Bristol execution. However, it should be taken into account that the thicker the center piece, the more pressure will come on the tongue.

Sweet Iron
By contact with (air) humidity oxidizes (blue color turns into brown price) the mouthpiece. The surface rust tastes sweet and stimulates the saliva production in a natural way. More stimulation of saliva production, better bit acceptance The orange-brown rust layer (after temporarily not using the bit) is easy to remove with a damp cloth.
