Pelham Jointed
This Trust Sweet Iron Pony Pelham has an anatomically designed single joint, and has been developed to provide a comfortable fit for ponies.

The mouthpiece is 12mm diameter, while the shanks measure 5cm below the mouth.

Sweet Iron
The sweet iron is designed to rust when it comes into contact with humidity; this surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the horse's saliva production, encouraging soft acceptance of the bit.

This oxidisation process changes the blue colour of the Trust bit to a brownish-grey.

If a sweet iron bit is not used for a while, an orange-brown rust layer may develop on the mouthpiece. Simply remove this by wiping the bit with a damp cloth.
